BISHOP UGORJI INAUGURATES 2007/2008 ACADEMIC YEAR

On Wednesday, 25 th of October 2007, His Lordship, Most Rev. Dr. Lucius Ugorji visited our seminary to inaugurate the 2007/2008 Academic Year. Before the ceremony, the Rector took the Bishop round the seminary to inspect some developing architectural problems in some of the hostels. The bishop was alarmed by the development and pledged to arrest it immediately.
Later, during the induction ceremony, His Lordship encouraged the new intakes to ensure that their aspiration for coming to the seminary will be released. He encouraged them to develop spiritual, intellectual, moral and psychological balance needed for the catholic priesthood. He later presented the seminary uniform for the young seminarian and prayed for them.
In an address of welcome, the seminarians thanked the bishop for making out time to visit them and promised to remain good seminarians.  

INTER-HOUSE FOOTBALL MATCH

This year’s Inter-House came to a close on Saturday, 27 th October, 2007 . In the senior category, St. Edward emerged victorious, while the champion in the junior category was St. Francis.

EXCURSION TO CALABAR:

On the 5 th of December, 2007 , the Rector, other formators and 55 seminarians embarked on an excursion to Calabar. There they visited the Marina Resort, the Slave Museum , University of Calabar and Tinapa Tourist Resort. The seminarians described it as a wonderful experience and unanimously voted Tinapa the most beautiful place in Nigeria .
